About My Writing
I have been writing full time since 2001, having retired early. I try to write for four or five hours each day, mostly in the evenings, using the daytime to re-read and edit what I've written the night before. This sometimes means deleting most of it!
I have completed three full size novels, a shorter story 40k words) and have had a stab at some TV and film scripts. The latter may finish up as novels as they did not get such good reviews from the professionals as my novels did.
I attend writing courses and workshops when I can and I find these to be a great source of information and inspiration.
Another source of help and inspiration is the British Arts Council website:
www.youwriteon.com where 'Sapphire Blue' and 'Deniable Operation' is in the site's Best Sellers Charts for Feb 07. In April 07, 'D O's sequel, 'The Pistachio Package' also reached the Best Sellers Charts I am a member of the Society of Authors.

| About Me
I was in the British Army for a number of years, working in secure communications, after which I was a partner in a small firm of financial advisers. Some of the characters in 'Deniable Operation' were created from the people I met during my time as a soldier.
I was a stand-up comedian for six years.
I enjoy amateur theatre, writing, performing and directing, especially pantomime.
I have had a number of story ideas 'bubbling about' inside me for some time and I realised that I would have to let them out before I burst!
My Agent is John King at Brandon Associates. All enquiries is regarding my work should be sent to him at brandon-associates@hotmail.com See my Website www.stuartrickard.net
